What is Youth Extended Services (YES)?

YES is a 90-120 day residential program for males ages 13-18 who are court referred to treatment.

Located in Aliquippa, PA (15 minutes north from the airport)

What service does YES provide?

Intensive drug and alcohol treatment.

How is YES different from other programs?

  1. Treatment intensity.  Young men participate in 2-3 groups per day plus individual work during their treatment.
  2. Community service:  Recently YES has collaborated with an area university to participate in several community service opportunities.
  3. On site ropes course and adventure based counseling is emphasized.
  4. Staff to patient ratio is excellent. 
  5. 12 step recovery is emphasized.  Patients attend 2-3 alcoholics or narcotics meetings per week.  AA/NA treatment/education facilitated 4X per week.
  6. YES patients can complete their GED while at the program if appropriate.  No YES patient has ever failed the test!
  7. YES will coordinate education with the patients home school district.  Pre/post testing measure academic progress.
  8. YES is cost effective when compared to other juvenile justice programs.
  9. Family involvement is offered 2X per week.
